White Tantric Yoga: Chicago 2009

Kundalini Meditations 2 Comments

Well, it was that time of the year again.  Time to participate in my second White Tantric Yoga experience.  Last weekend I made the trip down to Chicago to participate with 100+ others in the all day meditation events.

White Tantric provides an optimal group experience, which is carefully faciliated, for breaking through blocks within the subconscious.  Lord knows I’ve got blocks in there.

Here’s a quick pic I took with my phone during the event:

White Tantric Yoga Chicaogo 2009

This was the line of people I was in.  What’s really interesting to ponder on is that White Tantric works with Diagonal Z energy lines of force, so even though these peps were in my line, I was actually directly energetically linked with those sitting in other lines @ angles to me.

The first few meditations of the day were cake, but great warm ups.  Then in the afternoon we jumped into the 31 minute meditations.  If you have every sat still for 31 minutes  you can begin to relate to the mental energy that needs to be expended to maintain the posture.  What’s great is that the group energy helps to carry you through the meditation.

I found this White Tantric experience to be much more powerful for me than last time.  I think it’s because since I completed my teacher training I’ve been meditating daily as part of my Sadhana, for at least 20 minutes per day.  So I carried that vibration into the experience.

Now that  I’m through White Tantric for this year I’ve found myself able to carry my high vibration from my morning practice longer throughout my day.  Which really is the purpose of the daily practice.

If you get a chance to take a White Tantric course, go for it!  I do recommend some practice meditating prior to jumping in.

Oh and neck lock can be a life saver when you are sitting there for 31 minutes.

1000 day Meditation: Day 1

1000 Days, Kundalini Meditations 1 Comment

So today was the big day, yup Day 1 of the 1000 day meditation.  As I noted previously the Kundalini Research Institute is promoting a 1,000 day Meditation for an Invincible Spirit, leading up to the beginning of the Age of Aquarius.

Today was the first day, so if you are reading this and want to start for the 1000 go for it!

Experiencing this meditation today was a real treat and a surprise.  First of all it’s a lovely meditation, utilizing the mantra for the Aquarian Age which is put to a marching beat/rhythm.  The marching vibe is powerful and you can feel as if together we are marching towards a greater experience of humanity.

The surprise I received was the energetic experience of this global meditation.  This experience is being promoted and participated in across the Mother Earth.  By joining in the mediation one joins with the collective group energy of all participants.  I’d be curious to know, world wide how many are going for 1,000 days?  Anyway, that collective energy is strong, it forms a global network of light.  This network affect works to raise the vibration of humanities collective consciousness, which is exactly what we need during these challenging times of the transition energy.

Gotta give a shout out and a Sat Nam to Yogi Bhajan, Guru Ram Das and the Lord for this technology to help us through this transition.

Please note that you can join in to this group consciousness and collective Spirit at any time in during the next 1,000 days.

I’m totally hooked on this meditation and look forward to experiencing it until time of the Water Bearer is at hand, even though it’s an air sign ;-)

1,000 Day Meditation for an Invicible Spirit

1000 Days, Kundalini Meditations No Comments

I received an email from the Kundalini Research Institute announcing an International 1,000 Day meditation leading up to the Age of Aquarius.  After receiving it I thought, wow, that would be soo cool to be a part of that collective group consciousness leading up to the official beginning of the new age.

Details on the mediation can be found here.   I watched the video and downloaded the English versions with instruction.

It seems rather straight forward, but I can assure you the affects will be found on several levels.

I do have one question, in the overview it states that Yogi Bhajan said the Age of Aquarius will officially begin on November 11, 2011.  The numerology of 11/11/11 is super cool, however, there are many works out there stating that Winter Solstice of 2012 is the official beginning of the new Age, the end of the Mayan Long Count etc.  On page 7 of the Aquarian Teacher it also states that the cusp period last till 2012.  It will be interesting to watch the discussion over the official start of the New Age over the next few years.

Regardless, I’m super excited to take on my first 1,000 day practice, especially since it will be shared with others.

Bring on Aquarius!

The Meditative Mind, A Conscious Shift

Kundalini Meditations No Comments

Per my background, I’ve maintained a regular yoga practice for the past 5 years now.  However, I really didn’t start “meditating” until my teacher training program last year.  Since then I’ve been on a 40 days mission, or perhaps I should say a series of 40 day kriyas and meditations.  I have now moved onto my next mediation, which is very powerful, Meditation for Self Blessing Guidance by Intuition.  It powerfully stimulates the pineal and pituitary glands, while strengthening the magnetic feild.  The results of my regular practice and this newly integrating meditation are paying off.

As part of my additional Spiritual journey, I’ve decided to align myself more with the natural rhythms of the Earth.  As such I am putting myself more in tune with the Cycle of the Moon.  It is said that the full moon is a particularly auspicious time to meditate, and so I have started Full Moon meditations.  I haven’t had formal full moon meditation training, in this life time, but I figure I would simply sit quietly and get into the space.  The space of the Meditative Mind.

Through training I am now able to consciously shift my awareness into the Meditative Mind, at least I did last night during the Full Moon.  It was a profound experience really, the visions and sensations are my own for now, but powerful.  With focused attention, inward and upward towards the crown I dwell in that space.

It’s a pretty cool space really.  I am encouraged to keep up my practice so I can continue to access the Meditative Mind.

Prosperity Meditation: 40 Days

40 Days, Kundalini Meditations 4 Comments

I have a secret to tell you.  When I was a kid I used to play Dungeons & Dragons with my friends.  You know the role playing game where you would create fantasy people and go out on adventures, okay some would say we were dorks, but it was a blast.  Besides now we have the natural evolution of those games, video games.  Well in D&D and many video games for that matter, there is often a time of building up your character.  To do so one often has to do repetitive tasks, like conquering easily beaten creatures, or collecting quantities of something over and over again from specific locations.  But why do we do these things???

So that we can have kick ass characters.

But we all have character, right.  We are each our own character, so how do we develop ourselves so we can kick ass in life.

The technology of Kundalini Yoga provides the tools to develop our character to its utmost potential.  And so in the Spirit of my previous Character development, I have been continuing on with 40 day meditations or kriyas.  After 40 days the effects of a specific Kundalini Yoga kriya or meditation are firmly seeded within the brain.

For my recent meditation I choose the Meditation for Prosperity I.  It’s a beatiful meditation, which I really enjoyed doing.

My 40 days ended last week, time for the prosperity to come right.  Perhaps not exactly, our brakes needed replacing, we were assessed by our condo association and we just sent in our property taxes.  Hmmmm, where’s the prosperity.  But wait, the prosperity lies in having the available means to deal with these financial bumps in the road.

The additional benefit to this meditation is that it works the Neutral mind, which is the mind that assesses the positive of the negative and the negative of the positive then acts through intuition.  I must say, that since completing this meditation I’ve experienced a noticible change in 3rd eye activity.

So I’m hooked on these 40 day character development exercises.  To recap since I started, and now completed, Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, I’ve performed 40 days on the following:

Next I think I’ll move on to my Negative Mind, possibly blend or overlap that with a kriya for foundational work unto Infinity.

Meditation to Conquer Self Animosity

Kundalini Meditations, Teacher Training 2 Comments

We’ve recently been assigned our first 40 day meditation as part of Teacher Training.

I randomly selected the Meditation to Conquer Self Animosity.  Upon selection I thought to myself, huh, that’s an interesting item to focus on, animosity towards myself.  I thought, now come on, I love myself, I certainly don’t have animosity for myself.

Well turns out my ego, has some animosity towards my expanding Self.  This meditation has been brining up all kinds of stuff I didn’t realize was so deeply seeded within.  Then my ego (little e) starts throwing up all kinds of road blocks to confuse me on this path.  I’ll just have to keep  up and see what the 40 days brings.

I do have to say that I love the pranayama, associated with this meditation.  One inhales through the nose, exhales through the mouth, then inhales through the mouth and exhales through the nose.  Following this breath puts the mind into a sublime state.

I’ll be sure to update ya on my experience post 40 days.

Meditate on your Spiritual Name

Krishan Singh, Kundalini Meditations 4 Comments

For those of you who have been keepin up, I was recently granted the Spiritual Name, of Krishan Singh. Upon receipt of the Spiritual Name one is told to meditate on this name in order to gain deeper understanding of its meaning, including the more subtle meanings.

The other day while meditating on the name, an image came to mind. It was the image of a being floating near to me, one leg was up in easy posture, while the other was facing down towards the earth. I felt at peace with this vision.

Now me being the intellectual type, I figure I could track down some insights to the name Krishan by searching for the name. I came across this page on Guru Har Krishan.

Upon seeing the image there I was immediately drawn into the entry.

I found this line to be of much interest:

—————————–

Particularly, the local Muslim population was much impressed with the purely humanitarian deeds of the Guru Sahib and nicknamed him Bala Pir (child prophet).

————————–

People that cross social and religious barriers in the interest of healing and Spirit are grand indeed.
This note was also interesting, as I love walking sticks and used to have a great stick collection as a child

——————————-

The Guru was always carrying a stick with him.

————————————

Now I am not specifically versed in the process of Spiritual Name giving, but I am lead to believe that I am tied into the energy of Guru Har Krishan.

I look forward to becoming closer to this energy. Meditate upon it I will.

Tummo Meditation- Fire up your Kundalini

Kundalini Meditations 8 Comments

Buddhist Tum-mo Meditation

I came across this very interesting article from the Harvard Gazette on Buddhist Meditation. Its actually an older article and the results of the study have been around for some time.

The skinny on the article is that a Buddhist monk is able to place himself into a meditative state that allows him to heat up his body to a point where he can make 3X6 foot sheets that were soaked in cold water (49 degrees) produce steam, instead of making him freeze to death.

This specific type of meditation is called Tum-mo or Tummo meditation. Tummo is another word for Kundalini energy, for it is the fire within.  By focusing the mind and tapping into the power of Tum-mo (Kundalini) the monk is able to heat his body beyond normal levels.
The doctrine of the Buddha teaches that sufferings comes from attachments to impermanent objects. And that one can work to free themselves from attachment by following the Middle Way. From this space thoughts pass, events occur positive or negative, yet the mind remains free.  The Buddha follows the path of Wisdom, while Christ follows the path of love, yet they are two perspectives on the same energetic source.

As those of you that follow this site may know I have been proposing some interesting experiments on how to test the validity of chakra energy healing. Such as:

But here we have a real live scientific example on how the subtle realms and meditation can be brought into physical reality and measured. (I think the scanning insturments used in the study have several additional implication for testing.)

Over the course of the next few years, more and more studies such as these will be done in order to satisfy the Western scientific brain.  Which is all honesty has a right to be satisfied.  These will be only the beginning of this line of scientific discovery and will lay the foundation for the true science of the soul, Raja Yoga, to test its validity and value.  The energies of Aquarius carry with them the conditioning required to create proof of the human soul.  What an exciting time we live in :)

Gotta give a shout out to make money, for the article forward.  He located the article via,a Super Article.

Note to Daniel Tynski (author of the super article) While the ability to create steam from cold sheets drapped around ones body, may seem like a Super Power, to quote B.K.S. Iyengar and Patanjali, “these are simply the finest powers of nature.”  In truth the ability to create the steam is a by product of the level of attainment a specific unit of consciousness has achieved.  Levitation is another naturally occuring power in nature once a certain level of consciousness is reached,  most people know this power to be walking on water.
